I am a late 16th Century woman whose father was a German merchant and mother was from an Hidalgo class family in Southern Spain. They met when my father came to Spain in the 1548 after the battle of Muhlberg. As my mother was the youngest of 7 daughters and my family was low on funds for a dowery, she was able to marry my father. I am also a 7th daughter. My father always wanted a son and I was a Tomboy growing up so he taught me to fight.
I am hyperactive and have done many different types of activities within the society. These include but are not limited to: illumination, costuming, cooking, calligraphy, research, fighting, archery, lapidary work, embroidery, leatherwork, arrow making, soapmaking, brewing, vintning, dancing, glass beadmaking, weaving, and etc. I was laureled in 1990 by TRM Comar and Lisa for illumination, costuming, cooking and Iberian research. They also included calligraphy, but I must ask that no one consider me a laurel for that skill. It would be an insult to those who truely deserve it.
