Christian Fournier first discovered the Society in the mid-1990s, when a friend convinced him to come to Pennsic XXIII as his first event. Shortly thereafter, he took an interest in rapier combat, and through the encouragement of Baron Master AElfred of Chester and others, took a particular interest in historical fencing. That interest grew into an interest in historical martial arts as a whole, especially wrestling, and especially in 16th century Germany. Christian has been a member of the Company of the Bronze Ring since AS XXXVI, and a member of the Order of the Evergreen since AS XXXVIII, around which time he also was squired to Sir Logos. He was a member of the vocal group The Pippins for some years. He lives in Tree-Girt-Sea (Chicago), with his wife Tacit of Derby and his dog.
